July 29, 2006 -
July's Patch, Toward Ancient Shores, has launched! There's a new island for the 150+ crowd and Grael has been on the rampage on several different servers. It looks like there is a lot of time-released content this month too, so keep an eye out for live event announcements! The Patch Info is all linked on the boards HERE for your convenience. The Quest Section has been updated too, although there is only one quest so far. More soon!
I've been going through the Quest Section too, revising, correcting, and updating the quest guides I've completed. The Blackmire ones in particular were a bit lacking. I've also updated the list of quest items I'd like to track down and will post them on the forums when I'm done.
I realize I've been a bit lax in scheduling and running quests lately - we've been doing quests, but they've mostly been impromptu. I will attempt to schedule and run a couple quests next weekend, but I'd love to have some requests. Post your requests on the Quest Request thread, which I've cleaned up.

Patch Day has been pushed back until July 25th. Expect the servers to be down from 9 to 4 or so ET. The Authentication Server seems to be much more stable, so the previous week or so of glitches should be over! Horrah!
I've finally managed to finish my revamp to my guide to the game. There are now three new sections replacing the old 'Basics of Combat' section - one for each main class. There are also a couple new quests added to the list since my last update, but nothing too major. Of course, there really aren't that many quests left for me to update!

The Whispering Blade dealt a crushing blow to the Rossu Morta last night! In a series of battles that will reverberate for years to come, the Whispering Blade recovered two of three crystals and presented them to the Black Knight, founder and leader of the Whispering Blade in Dereth. For our efforts, the Black Knight was able to create a unique crystal in the Whispering Blade Chapterhouse that casts all life buffs on anyone who uses it. PoA was well-represented in the battles - Elyria scoured the countryside as a scout while Zebda, Himura, and I shed Asheron's protection to fight the Rossu Morta. The battles were pitched and many players from both sides died. June managed to add three notches to her belt during the second encounter. Congratulations to everyone who participated!
I haven't updated the site much lately, but I have been working on Gyes' Guide a good bit. I have been working to expand the combat sections and have actually divided that part into completely new sections. I have not yet finished the section for Mages and Archers, but the Melee section is complete. Until I finish all three, I will have to leave the original information up, as I did a lot of cutting and pasting. The quest section hasn't really expanded much, although I finally listed what this month's new quests are. Part of the hold-up is because I like to include a map of the dungeons with each guide and there haven't been many new maps from ACMaps (not to pass the buck...).
