In the aftermath of Gaerlan's defeat and the discovery of the Renegade Tumerok/Lugian alliance, Queen Elysa deemed it necessary to build a new town in the southern Direlands.  The construction of such a large fortress was a daunting task and required the help of adventurers.  The fortress, named Candeth Keep in honor of Martine, is now complete, but it still requires our help to maintain.

The real reason to complete this quest is to gain access to the Treetop Shop inside the Keep, where the shopkeepers will reward your hard work by paying 100% of the value of any item you sell.  These vendors are only accessible by entering a portal inside the Keep and the only way to get flagged is to donate salvage.  The resource committee for the Keep live in Wei Jhou, a dismal outpost on the east Obsidian Rim.  The three NPCs accept practically every kind of salvage and don't care about the quantity or quality of the salvage bags you donate.  To meet your donation requirement, all you have to do is massacre a good number of creatures, salvage each item you loot individually, and turn the bags in to the appropriate NPC.  The human accepts wood and metal, the Lugian takes stone and gems, and the Aun accepts hide and cloth.  If you have a high enough level character, you can simply hunt around Wei Jhou.  If you are on the lower end of the spectrum, you might consider tying to Desert March, a dungeon with a portal to Small Black Hill (right next to Wei Jhou), killing the dungeon's inhabitants, and when you're full, heading to Wei Jhou.

There are 3 rewards for each of the 3 NPCs.  After you turn in half of the required amount of salvage, you will receive a Candeth Keep stamp and be allowed access into the Treetop Shop.  When you've turned in the whole amount, you will get a title token and a hat (Timberman, Trapper, Miner).  Exactly how many bags you need to donate seems to be a bit of a mystery.  Maggie's site seems to think you need to turn in 100 bags to a specific NPC for the title token and hat, but other people disagree.  I tend to think Maggie's number is a little low, but I haven't verified that.  Personally, I suggest salvaging everything and using all 3 NPCs.  You never know which you'll appease first.  Note that you only need to turn in half the full amount to enter the Treetop Shop, so you might consider stopping when you receive your stamp.
