Dark Towers is another in the series of rare portal gem quests.  This time, you will be invading a Shadow stronghold on one of the spires surrounding the Obsidian Plains.

Step 1:  Finding the Gem.  The Dark Towers gem is a very rare loot drop on Shadow Spectres or Phantoms.  These Shadows are not terribly rare in the West Dires and Obsidian Plains, but you will need to kill a whole lot of them.  When you find a gem, form a group!

Step 2:  The Towers.  Buff before you use the gem!  You will be fighting Shadows and Grievvers, so Slashing will be your best choice.  Make sure you cast all protects.  Those without melee defense should bane against physical and lightning damage.  Be sure to tell everyone *NOT* to kill the Shadow Leaders on the other side of the portal until everyone is through.  When everyone is set, use the gem and enter the portal.  You will arrive atop a plateau and be surrounded by Shadows and Grievvers.  Kill the shadows (saving the Leader until last).  When everyone is through the portal, kill the Leader and he will summon another portal.  Repeat on this next tower!  The third and final tower is the most dangerous.  You will find a bunker on this third plateau - kill everything and then head inside, where you will find a Consumed Wraith, the boss of these towers.  Kill him and check his corpse.  He drops 5 Shadow Stone Necklaces per kill.  Also inside the bunker is an unlocked Runed Chest with very high quality loot.  Take a pull from the chest before you go.  When everyone has their necklace and has pulled from the chest, leave.

Step 3:  Rewards.  Enjoy your Shadow Stone Necklace!
