Every game needs a sword to pull from a pedestal. The Sword of Frozen Fury is Dereth's version.
Step 1: The Pedestal. Begin your quest in Glendon Wood. Head to Mage Syltyn Rillon, who lives in a cottage located at 27.8N, 24.7E. Greet her and she will tell you how to make yourself worthy of the sword, which involves recovering a Virindi Signet from a Virindi Interrogator. She will also give you a book that holds the secret to the dungeon. Everyone needs to talk to the Mage to be flagged for entry into the Interrogator's dungeon.
Step 2: Virindi Complex. The Complex is located in the plain between Neydissa and Bandit Castles at 69.5N 17.4E. There are several settlements near the dungeon, but all of their portals are in Crater, so you might as well just run from Neydissa. When you arrive, buff up. You'll be fighting Virindi, Drudges, Tuskers, and a couple Hollow Minions, so buff a fire weapon. There are only a couple Hollows and they won't last long enough to make you want to buff anything else. You will want to protect against everything and bane against physicals if you don't have melee defense. If you do, Impen will suffice. When you are ready, hop down the series of ledges. Follow the narrow corridor and you will come to a long flight of descending ledges. Jump down to the bottom. Continue to the south, following the corridor and you will come to a T intersection. Go either way and you will reach a large room with two portals in it. Remember the book the Mage gave you? It will tell you exactly how to navigate through the next section, which is a series of portal rooms. For simplicity's sake, here's the order I use:
W, N, NE, W, E, E
Once you take the last portal, you will land in a large room with another portal on the far side - ignore this one. Pass by the portal and follow the corridor. It quickly leads down a ramp and into another large room. From here on, you can hug the right wall to navigate the rest of the dungeon. There will be a couple dead ends, but they will come very quickly. Note that you don't want to do anymore jumping, so ignore any dead end that looks down into a pit. Once you climb the final staircase, start looking for Interrogators. There are at least half a dozen, most of them in the final room of the dungeon. Each person needs to loot a Virindi Signet from one. When everyone has their Signet, return to Glendon Wood.
Step 3: Rewards. Head back to the Mage and give her your Signet. She will congratulate you, flagging you to pull the sword from the pedestal, which is located at 29.6N, 27.4E in the middle of Glendon. Portal recall back and grab your sword. If you are a dagger user and would prefer that weapon, follow the Mage's advice and visit Omaro Nagate at 30.0N, 25.8E.
