Nuhmudira has been collecting all sorts of exotic gems for some time - some to create the lifestones on Marae Lassel and some for purposes yet unknown.  Collect specific crystals for her and she will give you a holiday present!

Step 1:  Gems.  Begin your quest in Arwic, where you will find Anasha in the southwest tower.  Greet her and she will request that you deliver Iolite crystals to another student of Nuhmudira, an Aun named Paritea.  She will suggest you take the Tia-Leh Homestead settlement out of Hebian-to and then run to 26.6N, 28.6W.  Give him the Iolite and he will ask you to recover some Chrysoberyl from the nearby Spirit Cell portal.  There are no monsters inside, but the entire dungeon is filled with a blinding white haze.  Make your way generally NE and use [ and ] to search for a chest.  Once you find it, grab the Chrysoberyl and portal recall back to the drop.  There is an exit portal just behind you.  Take the exit and give the Chrysoberyl to Aun Paritea.

Step 2:  Crystal Mines.  Head to 46.8N, 30.5E, which is NW of Holtburg and talk to Tornash, who is standing guard.  Use the portal next to him and you will reach the Crystal Mines.  You will appear atop a floating platform well above the surface.  There are several platforms below you, each with a level-specific portal.  You will have to jump down to the correct platform to enter the correct dungeon.  If you miss, there is a portal back up top on the ground, but it's a long way down... try not to miss!  The dungeon contains various types of Golems, but the layout of the dungeons are all the same (the map above is for the lowest level dungeon).

1-19:  Mud, Wood, Sandstone

20-39:  Sand, Copper, Granite, Iron

40-59:  Granite, Iron, Glacial, Obsidian

60-79:  Obsidian, Oak, Magma

80+:  Plasma, Vapor, Pyreal, Platinum

In general, you want to make your way NE and down at pretty much all intersections.  The final room has a lot of monsters in it on a fast respawn, so be careful.  You will find the last crystal, Daichroic, in chests at the far end of the final room.  Once you have your gem, portal out.

Step 3:  Rewards.  Return the Daichroic crystal to Anasha in Arwic and she will reward you.  You will get a random selection of protection gems, subway portal gems, dispel gems, a stocking cap, holiday lights, or coal.  You may get as few as one of the items or more than 5 - it's all luck.
