Spear of the Given Heart

Tamian Wilmit ran off after losing a sword fight.  He wanted to impress a woman but ended up looking like a fool.  Track him down and try your best to get him to return back to town.

Step 1:  Preparation.  Begin your quest in Rithwic.  Look for Astara Duskshield in front of the weaponsmith's shop.  She will ask you to talk to other people in town to try to find out what happened to Tamian.  You will talk to Delton Hardor at 10.8N, 59.4E, Ji Tenxien the Tailor at 10.7N, 59.2E, and Wyleda the Scribe 10.6N, 58.4E (in that order).   Then return to Astara.  You will need to head to Lin and find Tian Li Quan at 54.4S, 73.1E.  He will give you a journal send you to an archive.

Step 2:  An Archive.  This dungeon is located in the middle of nowhere, but fortunately the Ro-Nan community out of Qalabar is nearby.  From the portal run to 63.5S 36.8E.  Before you enter the dungeon though, kill an Iron Golem Guardian.  You'll find a horde of these guys right outside the portal.  Grab a key from the Golem's corpse and then head into the dungeon.  If you are a lower level, buff up.  You'll be fighting undead, so a fire weapon is ideal.  You'll want all the protects but you can do without banes.  You will quickly come to the door that the key opens.  The dungeon is quite linear - just keep going north and down.  Eventually, you will run out of north turns, so head east.  At the end of a dungeon is an exit portal.  Scan the ground for a note and pick it up.  Recall when you have it.

Step 3:  Tower Base.  The note directs you to find a unique Empyrean tower located southeast of Uziz.  Get to Uziz by entering the Lytelthorpe Apartment portals and then run to the dungeon, located at 34.7S 33.6E.  This dungeon is filled with lower level golems and is also linear, but instead of going one particular direction, keep going up.  At the top, you will find a portal leading to the Upper Tower, back outside.  The tower is crawling with undead and skeletons.  Your goal here is to get to the top of each section of the tower, where you will find part of a glass key.  Also look for another note from Tamian near the portal.  Combine the key and use it on the Spear of the Given Heart, near the portal drop.

Step 4:  Turn in the two journal pieces you retrieved from the two dungeons to Astara for your XP reward.  The Spear of the Given Heart is a decent spear for a lower level character.  Unfortunately, it cannot be hooked at your home, so it's not worth keeping as a decoration.
