Another in the series of Rare Drop Gems, the Curse of the Gold Coin comes pits you against Sclavi.  Kill Faisi or Chomo Sclavi and hopefully you'll come across a Gold Hills Ruins gem - it looks like a nondescript yellow gem, except that it has a big Q on it.  Get a group together and find a nice flat place to use your gem.  The quest won't take you long, but protect yourself and buff a frost weapon.  The gem will summon a portal for you to an abandoned ruin atop a hill.  The ruins are guarded by Sclavi up to Essa Lords.  You don't really have to kill them - just hunt around the ruins for a "Large Gold Coin".  Once you pick it up, a snake will coil around your hand and you'll discover that it's impossible to get rid of it!  If you do a little research at the Hebian-To library, specifically by reading Ken-Gou and the Curse of Attachment, you'll know that the only way to break the curse is by doing good deeds.  Head to the beleagured town of Dryreach and find Dinsmal the Beggar.  He'll accept the coin and break the curse.  The snake will let go and turn itself into a ring and a title token.  You can turn the title token in to a member of the Guild of Bestowers for the title of Philanthropist.  A title worthy of any Paladin, to be sure!
