Dizah ibn Nadqab is an archeologist who has been excavating a site just outside Zaikhal.  Evidently, the site he was investigating wasn't abandonded...

*Note - In addition to being a one-time-only quest, this quest has some very long respawn times.  This is a quest you really cannot do with a fellowship.*

Step 1:  Impious Temple.  Begin your quest in Zaikhal and buy an L note.  Now run to 12.4N, 2.3E, where you will find the Four Towers Entrance portal.  Head in and  you will find Dizah.  Greet him and he will ask for an L note in exchange for your help.  Fork over the cash and he will open a door leading to the Impious Temple portal.  Once you are inside, you can buff it you like, but you won't be fighting anything particularly dangerous.  Anyone over level 50 shouldn't need buffs at all, but if you do want to buff, put up physical protects and buff a bludgeoning weapon.  Your first job in the dungeon is to gather 4 keys.  Take a couple steps forward from the drop point and you will come to a four-way intersection.  Look closely and you will see two paths leading down and to the north in addition to the paths leading east and west.  Each of these paths leads to one of the keys, held by a Skeleton Warrior or Captain.  Start by heading west and then east, then take the northeast path, and finally the northwest path.  Each of the four directions will lead to a rectangular room with an exit on the far wall.  Go through it and take the path that does NOT lead up a ramp.  Instead, you will enter a room with a series of staircases leading up.  There will be a door at the very top.  Go through and kill the skeleton leader and check its corpse for a key.  After you recover each key, head back to the drop point and take another path.  When you have all four keys, head back through the staircase room and go up the ramp that you have been avoiding.  You will find a hole in the grating, which leads to a large room with several wooden cylinders in various places.  You are now in the lever section - take a moment to read the rest of the guide and check the map before you start.  If you are too slow, you will have to portal recall and try the whole dungeon again.  First, head to the southeast section of the large room, where you will find a door.  Open it and follow the corridor.  You will find three doors facing south.  Open the second and third ones you find and hit the lever inside.  Now quickly run back into the large room and head to the northwest corner, where a lever door will be open.  You will find another trio of doors facing north here, the middle of which will be open.  Quickly run in and hit the lever there.  Now open the third door and hit the lever in there.  Continue along the corridor (to the east) and then follow it as it turns to the north.  You will come to two more doors, both of which are locked.  Quickly use your keys - the east door is opened with the Superna Key and the west door uses the Inferus Key.  Just past the locked doors are two more levers, both of which you need to hit.  As soon as you hit them, head back to the main corridor and follow it to the west and then to the south.  You will have passed through the last two lever doors and now will be encountering Undead Priests.  Kill them and then use your Mortuus Key on the locked door to the west.  You will quickly reach the last locked door, for which you should have one key left.  Open it and enter the final room, which is protected by several Priests and the Undead High Priest.  Kill him and check his corpse for the Broken Staff.  Grab it and leave.

Step 2:   Harlune.  Dizah doesn't know anything about the staff, but if you show it to him (optional!), he will direct you to visit Harlune the Misanthrope, who lives in Mite Maze.  This place is aptly named!  I really can't give you good directions through the maze, so check the map often.  You are looking for the ramp labeled '3' in the map.  Also note that you need lockpick to make it to Harlune.  Just beyond the locked door is Alfrega the Reedshark - DO NOT kill her!  When you reach Harlune, give him your broken staff and he will mock you a bit and then give you a Smelting Pot and direction to get some iron from Colier Mines.  Follow the link and you'll learn how to get your iron.  Once you have the iron, you'll need to find an alchemist.  Give him the ore and the smelting pot and he will reduce the iron to a pile of slag (there isn't a skill check, but you must have alchemy trained to succeed).  Return with your slag to the Mite Maze and give it to Harlune.  He will repair the Broken Staff for you and give you your Impious Staff!

Step 3:  Rewards.  The Impious Staff isn't particularly useful, but it does cast an interesting-looking spell and is quite stylish in an evil sort of way.
