During the 'On Bended Knee' event, six Burun kings entered Dereth through ancient Falatacot temples. Bend on destroying Auberean itself, the Kings awoke ancient spirits of Falatacot guardians. These guardians weakened the Kukuur enough so that Isparians could attack and eventually kill them all. The unique properties of Dereth allow the Kings to be reborn every 4 hours, but their power has waned and they no longer pose a threat to us.
Each of the 6 Kings has a separate quest, so follow the appropriate link to learn more about each quest. I've also listed the location of the Watcher of the Dead you need to visit to begin the quest.

After you have completed all 6 quests, speak to Guard Devon and you will receive your final reward - a piece of Noble armor. There are 5 pieces - Helm, Coat, Gauntlets, Leggings, and Sollerets. Each piece is AL 400, casts Brogard's Defiance, has a level 60 wield requirement, and a 200 Arcane Lore activation requirement. The pieces have separate spells:
Coat (notice I have used a gem on the coat)
Gauntlets - Dagger, Spear, UA VI
Leggings (Also with a gem)
Additionally, each piece of armor can accept a single Gem, adding a single +12 attribute cantrip. If you've kept all the 6 hides instead of turning them in for a title, you can give the combined hide to Devon for a Kingslayer title token and a Burun Kukuur Floatee, a house decoration shaped like one of the Kings.
New in February 2009 is an additional reward for completing the quests. Any character over level 125 will now receive a single-use Mana Forge Key for completing any of the king quests. When you complete all 6, you also receive an addition one-use key. Characters under level 125 receive the standard reward.
