Quiddity Orb

Years ago, the Virindi and their minions tried to disrupt Isparian society by capturing, imprisoning, and then experimenting on adventurers.  Although the Virindi threat has waned, their Blackclaw Raiders are still prowling the outlands of Osteth.

Step 1:  Preparation.  This quest can take quite some time and will require a bit of luck to complete.  You will need to track down the Claw Raiders, the group of Drudges carrying out the raids.  Although these spawns used to be fairly common and widespread, but with the changes in monster spawns, they have been confined to smaller regions.  Fortunately, the quest no longer has a level cap, so anyone above level 20 will be able to get an orb.  The quest is still rather easy - everyone over level 50 shouldn't need to buff for this quest.

Step 2:  North Claw Dungeon.  The North Claw Raider and his friends spawn in the Lost Wish range, which is the mountain range bounding the Olthoi North.  Your best bet is to take the Mountain Shortcut portal just east of Subway and then run around that region.  Alternatively, you can kill everything you see and try to force the respawn that way.  Once you find the Raider, kill his friends, saving him for last.  When the Raider dies, he will summon a portal to the North dungeon.  Head in.  The North dungeon is fairly linear, so heading north will get you to the final room.  The last room is guarded by a few Raveners and the Northern Claw Leader.  Kill the Leader and check his corpse for half of the Quiddity Orb.

Step 3:  South Claw Dungeon.  The Southern Raider is a bit harder to find in my experience.  I have seen the South Raider mostly in the valley just west of Mayoi and on the way from Mayoi to the Archmage's tower.  He may spawn elsewhere in the Linvak range, but the area around Mayoi is probably a good place to start.  When you find him, kill his friends and then kill him to summon the portal.  Although the Southern dungeon isn't identical to the northern dungeon, it is similar in that you will need to head north to reach the end.  You will find the Southern Claw Leader protecting the last room, again guarded by several of his Ravener friends.  Kill them and loot the other half of the orb from the Leader's corpse.

Step 4:  Rewards.  Combine the two halves of the orb to make a functional Quiddity Orb.  Although it is somewhat obsolescent, it is still a good orb for a mid-level character without creature magic.  There is an additional, optional step available if you want to relive some of Dereth's past, you can take the completed Orb to the Landbridge Staging Complex to gain entry.  Of course, you will lose the orb in the process...
