The Virindi and the Hea Tumeroks have allied themselves together to destroy us!  The Virindi don't have the manpower to make a serious threat against us, but the Tumeroks do.  The Virindi have armed their Hea allies with Quiddity weapons, but you can steal one for your own use.

Step 1:  Preparation.  This quest is surprisingly hard for its age and rewards.  You will be fighting a good number of Dual Elementals and even some Hollow Olthoi, so plan accordingly.  If your magic defense is weak or you don't have melee defense, you should consider waiting until you can get a group together.

Step 2:  Malignant Tabernacle.  Your first goal is to build a green Singularity Key.  The two pieces are located in the Tabernacle and Venomous Nidus, both of which are located in the middle of nowhere.  The Tabernacle is located at 23.3S 46W, which is along the coast of the Inner Sea.  The fastest way to get there is to take the Kivik Lir portal device and then run north.  You will be fighting Elementals and Dual Elementals inside, so stick with physical damage.  The dungeon itself isn't particularly complicated - just keep going down.  The final room is a large open room with a small ring structure in the middle.  Stay back in the hallway leading into the room and pull the Dual Elementals out of the ring and kill them.  Some of them drop the Singularity Key Ring.  Since Elementals don't leave corpses, you will need to use [ and ] to search the floor.  Grab one and portal out.

Step 3:  Venomous Nidus.  Like the Tabernacle, this dungeon is also located in the middle of nowhere, but this time in the much more dangerous Western Dires, at 13.3S 91.8W.  The 'fastest' way (if you can call it that) is to run from the NW Dires portal on Aerlinthe.  This dungeon is a bit more complicated than the Tabernacle, but you won't have much trouble navigating it.  Your slashing weapon will work nicely in here too, so don't bother buffing another weapon.  From the drop, head east and then take your first right.  Head straight S and down a ramp.  Now hug the right wall and continue down a series of ramps until you reach a pit.  Jump down and make your way south into a large room.  Kill all the Simulacra and then look for the exit on the west wall.  Be careful if you don't have melee D from now on - you will be attacked by a horde of Hollow Olthoi!  Kill them and check their corpses for the teeth to your Singularity Key.  Combine the teeth and the ring to form a complete key.  Then recall out.

Step 4:  Convergent Median.  The final dungeon is located in the south Dires at 86.9S 40.6W.  Take the South Dires portal west of Mayoi to shorten your run.  You will have to run south from that portal drop first because of the terrain in this part of the Dires.  This dungeon is the hardest of the three and you will be facing Dual Elementals, Hollow Olthoi, Martinate Simulacra, and some Virindi.  Once you arrive in the dungeon, head west until you can't go any farther.  Turn north and go down a ramp, then turn back east and down another ramp.  You will find yourself in a large room with another ring structure in the middle.  Take either the north or south exit and head down the ramp.  Make your way east, carefully defeating the Duals and the Virindi as you go.  Both corridors lead to a large open room, filled with more Duals, Virindi, and some Hollow Olthoi.  Kill and make your way toward the door in the middle of the east wall.  Press through it and you will reach the final room.  There is an enclosure in the middle of the room containing several Singularity Troves.  Use your key and grab the Ingot.

Step 5:  Rewards.  Now that you have your Ingot, you need to have it forged into a weapon.  As the Ingot suggests, take it to 32.0N, 43.2W, where you will find a circle of Virindi NPCs.  Find the appropriate one and give it the Ingot.  You will receive your weapon in exchange.

In the December 2009 patch, the Mhoire Smith, Paradox Valley collector, and Colosseum Vendor added Weapon Upgrade Kits to their inventories.  One of the weapons available for upgrade are Quiddity weapons.  Currently they are a bit off when it comes to their stats, but are to be corrected in January 2010.  Stay tuned for details...
