Rytheran's Mnemosyne

The new factions are quite interested in Rytheran's knowledge of the forbidden Book of Ebihil.  Your job is to convince Rytheran to give up his personal Mnemosyne, either through diplomacy or sheer force.

Step 1:  Preparation.  You will need to get to the Graveyard and to Wei Jhou during this quest, so if you are leading a group, go tie to the Small Black Hill portal.  Graveyard Recall would be nice, but isn't necessary.  Bring along your fire render, preferably with an Undead Slayer.

Step 2:  Choices.  Head to Wei Jhou.  Now you need to decide whether you want to help the Celestial Hand or the Radiant Blood.  The Hand NPC is Zho Heishan, near the bridge to the mage tower, and the Blood NPC is Lacarra Avanthi, behind the other building.  Be careful - simply talking to one of the two NPCs is enough to prevent you from taking the other's quest.  Fortunately, the devs have assured us that this quest will have no bearing on factional alignment when they become available.  Once you have talked to one of the NPCs, it's time to leave.  Head to the Graveyard.  Buff accordingly - you don't need to fight anything, but you will need to run past quite a few monsters.  The dungeon is in the northeast part of the Graveyard, located at 64.7S 43.8W.

Step 3:  Gardens of Menilesh (no map yet!).  Once inside the Gardens, you have another choice to make.  You can take the quick path or the long path (think The Force here...).  At the drop, you will find Rytheran protected by a group of his minions.  If you like, you can simply kill him and take his Mnemosyne, the path the Radiant Blood would have you do.  Alternatively, you can parlay with him and do him a favor in exchange for his Mnemosyne.  If you decide to kill him, do so and grab the Mnemosyne and the Visage of Menilesh from his corpse.  If you'd rather be diplomatic, talk to Rytheran and he'll ask you to recover an item he lost in the Gardens.  Head down the passageway, killing the stray undead as you go, and you will reach a large room with a big black pillar.  Leave it alone unless you like fighting Vissidal Moarsmen.  Take the passage to your right, which will lead to another room, a multi-tiered room with a few Undead protectors.  Kill them and go up the ramp and then out the far exit.  Now take a left at the T intersection and find the next large, multi-tiered room.  Kill the defenders and go into the lower part of the room.  On the floor is the Ring of Remembrance, the item Rytheran was seeking.  Grab it and head back to Rytheran.  Return it and he will give you his Mnemosyne and the Visage of Menilesh.

Step 4:  Rewards.  Regardless of how you did it, return to Wei Jhou and give the Mnemosyne to whichever NPC you chose.  You will receive XP - about 20% of your level capping at roughly 300M.  The Visage is also quite the piece of armor - major life and major magic resistance!  Unfortunately, it's quite ugly and doesn't even remotely match my armor...
