A group of thieves has made a home for themselves in the Creepy Chambers, a dungeon NE of Candeth Keep.  Hidden deep in the dungeon are a series of chests, but there is only one key... which chest will you choose?

Step 1:  Preparation.  If you like, you may start your quest in Wai Jhou by talking to Xandra Har, who will direct you to the Barkeep in town for more details.  The dungeon itself is located at 80S 60W, which is just past the south edge of the Obsidian Rim.  Your best bet is running from Candeth Keep if you happen to be tied there.  Otherwise, you will have to run through Slysfear or Carved Caves and take the Direlands portal at the bottom.  Buff up in Candeth (or at the portal drop) - you will need to put up all your protects.  The Bandits don't hit particularly hard in melee combat, but if you have no melee defense, you will need to bane thoroughly.  When  you are ready, head to the dungeon.

Step 2:  Creepy Chambers.  This particular dungeon is filled with locked doors and small rooms.  Fortunately, you don't need lockpick to get through the dungeon and in fact, you can tell you are in the wrong place if you run into a locked door.  From the drop, run to the north and take your second right.  Follow the corridor up a ramp and you will find yourself facing south.  Continue southward through more doors and small rooms until you reach a four-way intersection (two of the four are obvious dead ends).  Proceed east and then take the path to the south shortly after the four-way.  Follow this corridor through the next four-way intersection you see and you will come to a T intersection.  Take either path.  Press on until you reach another T intersection.  This time, head to the north and down the path ahead.  You are now on the treasure floor, but you need to find the right key before you can find your staff.  Refer to the map here and you will see you need to make your way north to the room marked with an A - there's no easy way to get there, but if you go as far as you can to the north, you'll make it.  At the north end of that room is a lever door.  Hit the lever in the center of the room and the door will open.  Make it through the lever door and you will wind through a series of corridors and small rooms.  Once you head down a ramp, you will find yourself in a small corridor with two doors at each end.  Go through the left door (the right one is locked), kill the monsters, and check the floor for the Armoredillo key.  Everyone will need one.  Once you have your key, you will need to make your way back the way you came and past the lever door.  Now hug the right wall until you reach the room labeled C on the map.  The chest here contains the Spinning Staff of Death.  If you have Lockpick, you will be able to read its inscription and be sure you are at the right chest.  Use your key and clean out the chest, being sure to grab the Spinning Staff of Death.  When everyone has their Staff, leave.

Step 3:  Rewards.  If you are a Staff Warrior, you now have a fearsome weapon!  Aside from there being so few slashing staffs around, this one has a unique property called "Cast on Strile".  Occasionally (about 25% of the time, it seems) the staff will cast its spell when it strikes an enemy.  This particular weapon casts Horizon's Blades, or Blade Wall.  It also has the quest-generated version of Slash Rending too!  If you aren't a Staff Warrior, you may head back to Wai Jhou and give the staff to Xandra Har for 3.5M XP.  The reward is actually a percentage reward, so you won't be able to power level mules this way, unfortunately.
