Armor Dyeing

Tired of wearing armor that looks like everyone else's?  Now you can by having your armor dyed!

There are 12 dye colors, broken into 3 tiers. The Tier I dyes are  green, light green, brown, and ???.  Tier II are red, light red, silver, and black. Tier III dyes are gold, blue, light blue, and platinum.  Any dye color may be applied to any item, regardless of tier, so you can have platinum bronze platemail.  Dye Techs do not take up a technique slot, so you can freely dye without losing functionality, although the dye does increase the difficulty by 10 points per tier.  Sadly, items can only be dyed during item creation, so you will have to get a new suit if you want it dyed.

Dyes themselves are made from gemstones and require the skills of an alchemist to create.  The formulae for all the dyes are available on the Lore Keepers.  The dye techniques are a different matter.  Most of them are available on the new Quartermaster in Kion, but Brown, Black, Gold, and Platinum are only available as loot.  Your best bet to find these techs (aside from buying them) is to kill boss monsters.  Brown drops on boss monsters around level 20, black around level 40, gold around 60, and platinum around 80.  Each dye tech requires two dye pots.
