If you are going to make anything in Istaria, you are going to need a machine!  Each skill requires that you have the right tool for the job (unless you are a dragon) and be in the right place.  Most machines are readily available in most towns, but some aren't as readily available.  Consult your craft formula to see which machine you need for the job.

Stone Cutter - used to fashion bricks from slabs (stoneworking)

Stoneworking Pedestal - used to fashion tools, masonry blocks, or spell shards from bricks (Sculpting, Spellcraft, Masonry)

Scholar's Desk - Used to fashion spells from Spell Shards (Spellcrafting)

Essence Channeler - Used to Fashion orbs from raw essence and process orbs into essence structures (Essence Shaping, structuring)

Fabric Distaff - Used to make fabric from spools (Clothworking)

Spinning Wheel - Used to spin spools from raw fibers (Spinning, Weaving)

Table Saw - Used to cut boards from raw wood (Lumbering)

Woodworking Bench - Used to turn boards into more useful items (woodworking, carpentry)

Smelter - Used to refine ore into bars (smelting)

Anvil - Used in various smithing tasks (metalworking, armorcrafting, weaponsmithing, Fitting)

Gem Cutter - Used to cut gems from uncut gems (Gemcutting)

Jewelers' Table - Used to fashion jewelry from cut gems (jewelcraft)

Distiller - Used to create tanning liquids (Tanning)

Tinkering Bench - Used to make tinkered items from refined materials (tinkereing)

Cauldron - Used to transmute or enchant material (Transmutation, Enchanting)

Casting Box - ???

Cooking Table and Oven - Use to cook (cooking)

Mannequin - used to craft cloth and leather armor and clothing (tailoring)

Dragon Scale Forge - Used to create scales from stone or metal (scalecraft)

Pottery Wheel and Kiln - Used to make pottery from clay (earthencraft)

Millstone - Used to process edible resources (cooking?)

Tanning Rack - Used to tan leather (tanning)
