Fighting the Plague

After Feladan was freed from the Withered Aegis, they launched a vile counterattack against the Living Races - an insidious disease!  The disease started in Feladan and since it was so easily communicable, could easily spread throughout the whole world quickly.  For a while, the only counter to the disease was a primal spell Dragons could use to cure Bipeds.  Since Dragons themselves could not be infected, many Bipeds felt a strong motivation to find a more permanent cure themselves.  Fortunately, an Elf stepped forth..

To not only cure yourself temporarily, but also become inoculated against the plague, head to Feladan and the core of the town.  There you will find a Plague Researcher.  He will offer you a quest - accept it!  He will instruct you to visit Kirasanct's Alchemist Trainer.  Teleport yourself to Kirasanct and chat with the Alchemist - he is located between the second and third floors.  He will then direct you to Tazoon, but you will need to bring two ice beetle carapaces with you.  Fortunately, there are a great number of very low level ice beetles just outside Kirasanct.  Head out of town and take a right when you reach the valley floor.  You will only have to walk a few yards before you find the beetles.  Kill them en masse until you have your 2 carapaces, then head to Tazoon.

The Alchemist Trainer in Tazoon is in the western part of town, so it doesn't really matter which Tazoon teleport location you take.  Trade your carapaces for some kind of alchemical potion, and head for Sslanis.  This time, you will need Maggot Mandibles.  There aren't any maggots in Tazoon, but there are plenty outside the east gates of Sslanis.  Kill them until you find your mandibles, then go to the Alchemist Trainer on the second floor of the large building in lower Sslanis.  Trade the potion and mandibles for a new potion.  Now you need some gruok bristles.  Again, there are plenty of these guys just outside the eastern gate, so get yourself some bristles and then head to Dalimond.

The Alchemist Trainer in Dalimond is in the lower part of town, just before you get to the docks.  He is on the second floor of the building with Gregory the Darkstaff Scholar and other magical trainers.  Trade your bristles and second potion for a third potion and you're almost finished.  Your last step requires you to head back to Lesser Aradoth and visit the Kion Alchemist Trainer.  This final trainer is located in the north end of town, in the same building as the magic school trainers, just past the consigner.  Give him your potion and he will refine it into a useable item.  Gulp it down and you're done!  If you had the plague at the time, you will be cured and more importantly, you will receive a new passive ability - Immunity to the Plague!
