The Fazenda Horror
Difficulty:
Minimum to survive and solo
Level Restriction: 40+
Timer: 1 Week
Can be Solo'd? Yes
Rewards: Decorative Ursuin Head, 725K
There's a huge Ursuin on the prowl and you're the only one who can stop it!
Step 1: Preparation. The majority of your prep time for this quest will be getting to the dungeon itself! The nearest settlement portals are located in Crater, so that's not really a viable option. The most convenient portal is the Firedew settlement out of Glendon Wood. Once you arrive at the settlment, run to 51.4N, 7.5E, where you will find Farmer Kao, the Ursuin's victim. The run isn't particularly dangerous, but if you are close to the minimum (level 40), you may want to buff before you go. When you reach the Farmer's home, greet him and he will tell you his troubles and send you south to find the Ursuin's lair. The dungeon is located in a cave at 49.8N, 7.7E.
Step 2: The Fazenda Caves. When you arrive, you should consider buffing. Even if you are well above the level requirements, you should probably put up Slashing and Frost protects, as there are some pretty powerful spellcasters deeper in the dungeon. Fire or Slashing weapons will work well for you. When you are ready, head in. You have goals in this dungeon - recover the Farmer's stolen gear and kill the Fazenda Horror, the marauding Ursuin. There are a total of four items to recover, not including the head of the Fazenda Horror - Farmer Kao's Feed Bag, Shovel, Water Bucket, and Gardening Gloves (in that order). If you hug the right wall, you should find all 4 items. Note that several of the items are in dead-end rooms. The final room contains the Fazenda Horror and several other critters - try not to fight them all at once. When you have killed the Horror, loot its corpse and grab its head. There is an exit portal just past the Horror's room. Take it and return to the Farmer.
Step 3: Rewards. Return the 4 items and you will receive XP for each, totaling 725,000 XP. The head isn't worth XP, but the Farmer will mount it for you. It makes a creepy housing item!
